What is your favorite side bet at the blackjack table? Depending on if you are talking to me, or Dee, you are going to get very different answers. Dee's favorite side bet has to be winning streak. You can find this at many blackjack tables across the country. The strategy behind this side bet is how many hands in a row (2-5) you are going to win. In other words, you can bet you will win any or all of your second through your fifth hand. The more games in a row you win, the more the odds are against you -- but the more money you pocket..if you win the the 5th hand, the payout is 38 to 1! This will truly add some weight to your pocket book. It is a great way to get ahead real quick, but it is also a way that you can lose real quick. There is a very informative website called The Wizard of Odds, I believe he has this strategy along with many other - and your odds of winning on his website.
If you ask me, I will tell you that my favorite side bets are Bust Bonus, and Top Three. (Seen in the pic above) Now as far as Bust Bonus goes, it's going to depend on which casino that you are at on whether I play it or not. In Colorado, specifically Blackhawk and Central City, all the casinos that I have been at you can determine if you are going to entertain this bet after your hand is finished, as long as you are still in the game, and before the dealer flips their cards. Also there is one casino in particular, Saratoga, where you can still play bust bonus if you have a blackjack or if you lose your hand. However if you go to Vegas, and many other casinos, you have to place your bet before you are dealt your original cards. I never play in those cases. I'm a gambler, but a little more risk-adverse than that!
